The Auburn School District Board of Directors has placed the following
proposition on the ballot for the November 3rd election:
Proposition #1: Capital Improvement Levy to repair and improve 19
schools and six support facilities throughout our district.Attending school in the Auburn District is vastly different from one
student to another. While one student attends a modern classroom with
up-to-date learning facilities, another student attends one that is
aging and in dire need of repair.
If approved, the Capital Improvement Levy will provide funds for badly
needed repairs to:
Keep our kids safe and healthy
- Improve air and water quality
- Repair damaged turf and athletic facilities
- Make our buildings “earthquake ready”
- Improve entry point security systems
- Improve fire alarms and sprinklers
Create better learning environments
- Repair heating and ventilation
- Update classrooms and teaching equipment
Save money over the long run
- Replace old roofs
- Repair deteriorating utility lines
- Put energy conservation measures in place
